    LTE Throughput

    Hello everyone.
Could someone explain me how to calculate real speed in LTE for subscribers? For example we use ericsson equipment, and the KPI equation for throughput is : (pmPdcpVolDlDrb - pmPdcpVolDlDrbLastTTI) / (pmUeThpTimeDl/1000).
On enodeB we have good speed(10 Mbps), but our subscribers complain that speed no more than 1 Mbps.

How to match subscriber's speed with (pmPdcpVolDlDrb - pmPdcpVolDlDrbLastTTI) / (pmUeThpTimeDl/1000)?

Maybe someone have experients about how to calculate real speed?

Beside of EURAN networks, Core networks can control throughput of each users by parameters: MBR, GBR, UE_AMBR, APN_AMBR

The formula is the right one, but the results will indicate an average throughput over the ROP. Do you get this 10Mbps during the busy hour (all 15 min ROPs)? Measuring throughput through counters always raises the question of what is "real". How do customers measure throughput? From experience a lot of throughput apps will report false results. Only one I trust is speedtest.net which Ericsson use themselves when performing customer experience audits.

I think to new the real user exp we must DT at the same location with the subscribers, To know the receive UE like RSRP, RSRQ, SINR dan CQI if all condition good but still low throughput maybe limitation on transport or the location is crowded (many user at here)

To know the individual end user performance use trace tools like UETR where you can troubleshoot cases per IMSI
